This is a view of the Catskills in New York State. I caught this glimpse as I made my way down Meads Mountain Road after visiting the Tibetan Buddhist monastery Karma Triyana Dharmachakra at the very top. Skywatch Friday
Fantastic colours in the mountains. Sandi, we get blue mountains like that, perhaps not so intensiv; it is caused by the Eucalyptus trees, the evaporation of the oil in the leaves. Thank you for SWF. Take care T.
The bkue hue off those mountains is surreal. I'm glad you get those powerlines in, not beacuse they're pretty, just beacuse it puts the shot in such a natural context. The mountains are even more beautiful for it.
I love the color variations in this photo … framed beautifully by the trees. Just beautiful! Mine's up at Sacred Ruminations this morning ... along with a bit of Haiku just because ;--) Hugs and blessings,
I love the mountains...I think it may be the Highland Scots blood...love them much more than the beach! I have an award for you at my place that will be posted by tomorrow, do come pick it up! Sandi
I've only been to New York once, but my husband came from there. We now live in British Columbia and have lots of green like in your shot. My contribution is a shot of the sun with reflections on the water. I invite you to come see. -- Margy
Very pretty, Sandy. Happy Skywatching! I like your Catskills, it's been a while for me. Thank you for peeking at my lighted church spire and moon in the cloudy evening sky. ..
