A detail of a fountain in the whole "harmony", that usually goes unoticed, you brought it to light. For our eyes pleasure. On a special occasion, metal fish, you 'll go back to water!
thanks for the chuckle at your question. maybe a leftover feature from another fountain that they did not know what to do with so they superglued it to this one. hahaha still chuckling
This is a fine old English tradition, having fish in the fountain. The restaurant at the Hundred House Hotel, [ http://www.hundredhouse.co.uk/ ] at Tedford, Shropshire, is named the Fish in the Fountain Restaurant [http://www.hundredhousehotel.co.uk/restaurant_truro/restaurant.html ]
I hope this helps, Dr. Jim http://jimmiehov8.blogspot.com ..
Hi Sandy.. My friend sells Koi Carp... along with landscaping ponds and lakes.. I give he a ring and he pointed me to this... hope you find this of interest.
"Fish are a symbol of water, fertility and regeneration and are sometimes used as a charm to avert evil. As fish are happy in their own element they have come to signify harmony and marital bliss. Fish are said to swim in pairs emblematic of the joys of union, generally taken to be sexual union. Because of this the brides family at a Chinese wedding will often give gifts that display ornamental designs of Carp.
In Buddhism the fish symbolises freedom from all restraints: As in the water a fish moves easily in any direction, so in the Buddha-state the fully-emancipated knows no restraint or obstruction.
Chinese Carp, according to ancient belief could transform themselves into dragons upon reaching 100 years old.'

I am hoping there is some hidden meaning behind their use....otherwise, we shall have to find beauty in its oddity.
