This marvelous bit of costume jewelry belonged to my grandmother, who was my queen. She kept a cream perfume in the secret compartment of this ring that dazzled me in its over-sized glory.
omg, that's stunning. i've been wanting to get that kind of ring. and it has a room for cream perfume? i'm envious... sob..sob..sob since i'm pmnr, i contained myself in a cheap disposable one. (LOL)
What a precious thing to have to remember your grandmother. Beautiful. I just realized that we have the same initials. SLC for me too. Have a great WW. :)
Hi! Wonderful crown jewel! This is better because I could look at it longer. This reminds me of a past trip to London. I had the chance to look at the real "Crown Jewel" but had to line up for more than an hour. With the long line, it was disappointing to get a look at the crown jewel for only a seconds. Thanks for sharing.
The picture of your crown jewel is just exquisite, and so is the memory of your grandmother. I have tears in my eyes remember my grandmother who is no longer with us.
Have a blessed day! Tami (www.homeschoolblogger.com/Tami)
Thanks for agreeing to moderate one single impression. I would like to know how to get the button to work and link back to the site though? Any suggestions?
Sandy , To show that great minds think alike,LOL! Guess what other book of poetry I checked out at the Library today? Owl and other Fantasies by Mary Oliver. Thanks for your work with One Single Impression.
That is so cool! And you've stirred a memory of my own grandmother, secret compartments and cream perfume! I just can't put it all together..but I can smell the perfume! Very cool WW!
Wow, that brought back a memory I didn't even know I had. My grandmother had one of those beautiful rings that opened with creme perfume in it. As a kid I thought that was the bee's knees.
What cool heirlooms to have!!! I don't have anything like that. I'd just like to have something my grandma owned. That would be really special to me! :)
Only two words come to mind: Elegance, sophistication..... that's how I see your grandma wearing that beautiful ring.... Thanks for sharing a lovely history.
