New Jersey is the subject of so many cliches that I couldn't help stringing a few together to try to say something a little different.
This tower stands near the water in Jersey City. It's gigantic and not very pretty in itself; it is gorgeous in the way it reflects the sky, though--even on a deep grey day.

Interesting shot. Not being familiar with this tower I'm still trying to comprehend the perspective.

One word:
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL!
Clever shot ..
ReplyDeleteI like this one! The reflections both in the photo and the words.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
I have never been to the other side of the river to visit this building up close.
ReplyDeleteNJ sure gets to be the butt of some jokes but most of it is beautiful, with a deep horticultural tradition. They don't call it the Garden State for nothing.
Have a Nice Weekend.
That's beautiful shot, Sandy! Very dramatic and creative. Of course your poetry is lovely! I'm sure New Jersey thanks you! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautifully and awesome!!
ReplyDeleteHello from Norway, and thanks for comment my sky watch.

An excellent shot.
ReplyDeletegreat poem! I like reflection of the sky on the building as well.
ReplyDeleteNice picture, and I loved your words.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photo. I just love it:)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day:)
Salty,
ReplyDeleteI'm still trying to comprehend the perspective, too. The thing is huge and it was very far away. This view might be 1/5 of the height of the thing. Nevertheless, the birds seemed gigantic.
Clever shot...I love birds of every kind.
ReplyDeleteVery good the photograph, many times the phenomena deceive. When somebody sees photograph it believes that the dark bird is the reflection first!
ReplyDeleteI wish you have a new good month!
Interesting perspective!
ReplyDeleteGreat composition. You have a real eye of photography.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot Sandy! Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat is a stunning shot. Bravo!
ReplyDeleteI was born in Jersey city and lived on Ocean Av and Jackson blv.We lived above a tavern. One night out our window I saw a man murfered, We moved after that
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I love this one.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great photo!
ReplyDeleteI've added you to the Blogaholics Anonymous Blogroll. Welcome to the club ;)
That is so awesome! Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteThe tower seems dwarfed by the gulls. It's amazing how large the birds seem. Or how small the tower seems. Wonderful photo! My Skywatch is here. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThe perspective is magic in this shot...awesome timing in capturing the seagulls at these points.
ReplyDeletewow! nice shot.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo Sandy. You captured the image of the seagull and it's reflection in the tower beautifully. I love the poem too, especially the bit about "on the wings of an angel". God bless!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! I love the shadow of the bird. Nice shot there!
ReplyDeleteGreat capture - I especially like the gull's shadow on the building.
ReplyDeleteVery neat Skywatch shot!
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful in itself too, the way the oblings are sized, almost like an ocean surf swelling and then diminishing. It has rhythm.
ReplyDeleteUm that was supposed to read "oblongs". :/
ReplyDeleteThanks for being here.
