It was hard to listen to Nancy Pelosi butcher a simple phrase that Google Translate could have schooled her to pronounce correctly. It was harder, still, to watch a bunch of old, hairsprayed-up millionaires and billionaires applauding the president of a country doing democracy's dirty work solo while we deprive his nation the cover it needs to protect its children. What's more perverse than saying to someone, "You can have everything in the world except what you need most?"
