Today's Flowers: Sweet and Lovely Violet

I love violets.  They are sweet and beautiful and close to the ground and humble and bright.  It's a nice surprise when the grass turns purple in spring.  They don't  last long enough.

  10. I have a few blue ones too.
yesterday I sprinkled slow fertilizer on them.
Hope fully it will help them. But the ground is hard so I don't know.
It might need weeding and new soil as well.

  14. Perfectly said. There are no "humble" flowers in Florida; I miss them. Our daughter always e-mails me on the day she wakes up to a yard full of violets (in Oregon).
