Moss feels right for today, a sad day in Connecticut; the children whose lives were taken yesterday at Sandy Hook Elementary Scool were finally named. The naming made real and permanent the phantasmagoric hell that has been so hard to take in over the past day. The constantly evolving story that did not grow and develop but change entirely from one hour to the next completely offends every notion of humanity. I try to understand why any one person would feel entitled to take lives and destroy so many others who managed to survive his brutality.
Thanks to all those good, caring folks who are doing so much to be present to the grief of those families who lost loved ones to the diabolical egomania of one sick-as-hell young man.

I do so agree with you, Sandy. It's been a very hard day for me. There is so much violence everywhere these days, but when it is taken out on such young children and so many! It's inconceivable how anyone could have done this! Sick as hell indeed!

Those poor children and those teachers who took the bullets for them. Unimaginable all this.
I know I was paranoid with my kids going to school. It just takes one.
No guarding would have prevented this from happening. Moss is a good flower for today.

Reading those names did indeed make it even more real. Seeing some of those beautiful little faces tore me to shreds. My heart just aches for those families.. all those beautiful little angels.
ReplyDeleteSo hard to take in, to accept. I cry every time I read another report about this tragedy.
ReplyDeleteAt the same time, there are so many good people in the world who do so much to nurture and protect children. Their light will shine through this terrible darkness and far beyond. We can never give up on humanity's overriding goodness or all is lost.

it's incomprehensible...i couldn't take out the images of children riddled with bullets from my mind. my thoughts and prayers to the victims' families.

ReplyDeleteAll I can think off is, that he was totally insane, its beyond belief, One wonders what the World is coming too. Man will some day destroy Earth, if we can't change the attitude to create horror,sadness,and War.
