One Single Impression: Constant

Still, sun-warmed turtles
Turn in time with the earth
Silence marks this age.

  1. Sometimes I think that after humans are extinct there will still be turtles sitting on logs.

  5. I shall miss our turtles. I rescued one on the road last week. It was the kind thing to do! Crazy people driving at the speed of stupidity. sigh.

  19. I always like to think that turtles are constant. When I see them drying up with the very waters they thrive in during the drought I feel a loss. Like a constant isn't going to be so. Scary. I like your poem and the soothing cool waters with happy turtles therein.

  20. Turtles don't do anything fast, do they Sandy? So if there was a change it might be so slow that things would seem not to change at all. ;)
