Skywatch Friday: My Star

From Topsail, April 2011

It would seem my ambition is to photograph every permutation of the same things that occupy my time when I am on Topsail.  It would seem.  That is my ambition.  To see what is interesting and new about the familiar and ordinary, to affirm life as a work of art with every breath.  It is.   Breathe well, friends.

  10. I do enjoy photographing the same thing from 'every permutation' - the differences in light and angle remind me that life is forever changing, yet the same.

  14. Exquisite shot adroitly and artistically done [under tough lighting, I might add]. In other words --just super! Not too many B & W sunsets around either--

  15. This is a beautiful photo. Not only is the composition perfect, the fact that it is monochrome adds to the beauty.

  17. Love this, Sandy. That rock or coral formation below makes for a good subject for photo details. I take many photos of the same things in different ways all the time at favorite places I return to again and again.

  26. I photograph the same things over and over too. I justify it by saying the circumstances are different: the light, shadows, overall feel.... :))

  27. what a great photo. i can imagine the brightness. i was also noticing how you have been tackling bigger issues in your post; something you never used to do - so great to see you make a stand and make your voice known.
