One Single Impression: Vellicate

Good Lord, no.
Don't touch me.

Stay right there.
Smile if you must.

Talk.

But do not touch.

No, there's no damage here.
No back story
No single thing I need you
To help me through.

No way to elicit my gratitude
And then bargain with it.

Call it a dare.
Touch me
Move me
Make me (sweet Jesus ) think.

Only do it without your hands.

Good Lord, no.

Say something.
The right thing.

Touch me.

I dare you.

    Dear Sandy,
in this short time 'knowing you', this feels to be one of the most strongest pieces you have done.

A deep bow in respect for you and your writing. Impressed.

  23. Hmmm.....No teasing, no game-playing here. When I saw the prompt for this week, I thought of the men I have known who have attempted to play what they have believed to be my vulnerability to their advantage--which is to say to try to bed me down. Because men will try anything and walk away and not care at all, a woman needs to stay ahead of the game. That's not playing or teasing. That is surving with honor. I know the game so well.

  27. Truly a worthy challenge, Sandy. And may the BEST man win!!!

It is critical to trust one's intuition and to set and maintain boundaries accordingly. Most of all to articulate what is important. You have done this brilliantly.
