Today's Flowers: What Remains

Here is some of what's left of leaf life at Three Rivers Park in Woodbury, Connecticut. These days I'm calling it Clyde's Park because that's where he likes to spend his free time roaming, checking out other dogs of all sizes, and tempting us into the thickets as he makes his way for the chilly waters of the Pomperaug River. The light is low and soft, and the ground is sleepy this time of year, but the air smells very, very good.

  5. Beautiful.
My dog lives to chase birds, which is kind of counter to why I'm out walking sometimes :)

Love the new theme here, fresh and crisp!

Great post, as usual Sandy. It's rather a stark time of year for pics, isn't it? I don't know if I should bother taking my camera with me right now!!!

  21. The relics of summer past and your lyrical description of the yawning, sleepy earth are so evocative of late autumn.

Lovely flowers in your feature photos. Great lighting and clarity.

Have yourself a sunny week with great doggy walks.
