These are two sculptures on Main Street in Woodbury. The silver fish keeled over sometime during the weekend, sadly. Maybe he just had a little meltdown or discovered he really can't walk. Don't know. The friendly dude with the Saab cap greets me ever morning on my way to work. A smile I can count on!

I'm sure there has to be a story behind the fish in the yard. I can see why 'Saab-Man' brings a smile each day.
ReplyDeleteCool.
ReplyDeleteFish out of water tend to end up on their sides.
What a friendly looking chap in that first photo. The whale looks like it is giving itself up for sacrafice. Happy MW Tuesday on Monday.

ReplyDeleteGotta feel a little sad for the keeled over fish, though.

ReplyDeleteIts funny how much intolerance exists today in what is supposed to be a tolerant nation.
I love this whimsical yard art, especially the friendly dude with the Saab cap. The fish is great too but I think I might be intimidated by a fish that size.
ReplyDeletenice ideas! I wonder thou what's with the fish :)
ReplyDeleteIt seems the fish may be all a flounder!
ReplyDeleteI think the fish expired in sympathy with his brethern in the gulf.

Well . . the fish was dead anyway but be careful the bowser man doesn't follow you home one night.
ReplyDeleteHi Sandy;) I decided to visit again today after a long absence and am I glad I popped into your blog. So interesting and beautifully captured as always, How are you, Sandy? Blessings from Jo (Sudan)
ReplyDeletei like the first one. the second one looks like a good sculpture where i can actually lie down.
ReplyDeleteDid some one really make the fish, or is it a big rock? I went to the mountains, and there was a big rock which almost looked like that.
ReplyDeleteInteresting and nice works of art!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, maybe the fish is morphing into a halibut! When they are born they look like other fish but as they grow their one eye migrates to the other side and they swim around just like this fella!!!
ReplyDeleteSmiles
How unique ! I've never seen anything quite like that fish, in any position.
ReplyDeleteOh how funny. I wish I could see those in person.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being here.
