Skywatch Friday: Queen Anne Bids You Good Night

IMG 1848

Walking along the swamp the other day, I could smell the cherry blossoms that were still in the making, and I could see far and clear because the leaves are yet a long way from coming out. The dried relics of last summer stood in stark relief against the sky and all the impending life. Was nice.

It almost becomes the sunrise/set in this lovely composition. It is held between night and day, waiting to return, to recycle, to renew.

  33. This is a great silhouette. I don't think much survived the snow, wind and cold here this winter. We will have to wait until this summer to see such things. HSWF.

  44. The dried relics are so natural and organic. Paintings from nature in free form. It is amazing what you see if you only look around. I can imagine, that dried flower gave itself knowing the spring would come, renewing from the seeds of the past. Very nice photo! Rob.

Sorry to be a stranger lately. I've not had time to even OPEN my reader for about a month, but I'm doing what I can to catch up today. Thanks for making your entire post available in your feeds.
