The pine cone is to Christmastime what the rose is to Valentine's Day--but you don't have to wait for them to come your way; they are there for the taking. Which is part of why I love them. Love and be loved. And may Christmas decorate itself for you.

  7. Nicely put, Sandy. Our property is full of pine trees, one day I picked a few of the pine cones and made a desk Christmas tree out of them with lights and everything. very pretty!

  20. Pinecones..always a part of my seasonal display! Roses are close to my heart so I combine pinecones and roses with fresh pine greenery for my indoor arrangements.

  39. That is one close shot! And, I too, love the cinnamon scented ones too! I have collected them in our local mountains in the past. Now I wish I had gotten out and done that this year...too late now, at least for Christmas. Beautiful post!
