Today's Flowers: Faded

A gift of love, once. Such a love is no more, but the flower makes me happy. I look at it and see beauty, stopped. And it smells so good.

  33. I have a jar full of those lovely old roses. I don't know why I keep them. But I do. Maybe because they make me happy on days I need a bouquet and don't get one.

  38. I have so many roses and other flowers pressed in the books I have read that they look lumpy,(the books I mean). All bring joy and love in the remembering.
