Taking photographs in Monument Park at Yankee Stadium was as tough as being there. It was hot and crowded and everybody had his or her legend of choice to photograph. My nephew Adam and I found ourselves in the corner looking at this one. There was a shaft of intense sunlight that illuminated the twin towers and left the rest in shadow. This is quite a compelling memorial to those who perished on 9/11 and those who did their very best to help.

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing that -- I still get goosebumps remembering that fatal day and all those who lost their lives so needlesly. OK, got to stop as now I am crying. . . but I appreciated the reminder of their sacrifice am am so glad to be an American.

I read conspiracies of 9/11
ReplyDeleteI feel so sad that so many people had died whether ever the conspiracies are true or not.
You are right about the longhouses, they are getting shorter and shorter, the younger people don't like staying there.
That's a poignant memorial.
