why I do believe these beauties you have captured are oleanders. I also believe they are something one would not like to consume as in poisonous. Gorgeous photos! oleander

ReplyDeleteTammmie Lee was very correct. The first one is definitely an oleander...I presume the second one too, couldn't see the leaves on it as easily....but beware, as Tammie said, they are deadly poisonous..not just the flowers, leaves also...

ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful Sandy. I noticed someone said oleander. I wasn't sure but that's what I was guessing because I know from visiting the NC coast there is a lot of oleander and what I've seen is similar. Then when I saw someone say it was oleander I googled and sure enough that's it.

It is one of the most poisonous plants in the world and contains numerous toxic compounds, many of which can be deadly to people, especially young children.

ReplyDeleteYup. Oleander. I had a row of them against my front porch banister, which I asked my Dad to remove. Pretty, yes, but poisonous with cats and children in the neighborhood is not a good combination!
