Skywatch Friday: Life Beyond Skee Ball

A few weeks ago at Ocean Beach Park in New London, my daughter and her cousins just about owned the arcade. Everyone else was out enjoying the blue skies and sunshine! Looking up from the inside, I found some relief from the weird darkness of the arcade and found myself dreaming about being way out in the water, on a boat....Winning no tickets at all.

  35. I used to say that I couldn't understand kids who would rather stay indoors playing video games rather than playing outdoors. Until I realized that it wasn't much different from my staying indoors to read when I was a kid! But I think reading's so much better than video games ;)

    Lovely, lovely sailboats! Happy SWF!

  36. I'm with Hilda, I also spent my kid's days reading or if not running outside but not on video games which then wasn't the tech yet. And your skywatch was magnificent.

  39. A wonderous Summer post. I can smell the summer sea-side days of my east coast youth. Guess that's where I am today: life after skee ball. I love how your eyes roam and your heart settles on beautiful things and ideas about them, Sandy.

Aloha from a different-color sea. From a boat...
