There. I did it. Every day in life I drive by this Easter Island-style dude who sits outside the Timexpo Museum in Waterbury, Connecticut. I think to myself, "I should photograph that thing," and then I think, "Nah. It's too darn ugly." I don't have to think about it anymore. Now I'll wonder if I could take him seriously if he didn't have such silly-looking eyes.

ReplyDeleteaccording to the site the dude is indeed an easter island dude and is 40 feet tall. and...according to the site, there is a tie-in between the dude and the museum.

ReplyDeleteWhat a hoot Sandy. A friend of mine's husband has one of these statues in concrete. She "dresses" it up for holidays, birthdays etc. It is a scream.

ReplyDeleteI love that statue for some reason. Was it the "Night at the Museum" movie where the Easter Island statues were saying something like "Dum Dum want Gum Gum". That is what keeps going through my mind as I liked at the photo.
