After a week punctuated by heavy rains, the weather turned cold. This is the surface of the little pond near my home on Saturday morning.

  3. What amazing and BEAUTIFUL photographs! I can't quite imagine being that cold, but watching the news about the 'ice storm' in the Northeast boggles MY mind. We're STILL waiting for rain here in So Cal with 'chilly temperatures' in the high 50s rather than our usual temps of 65-70 degrees.
    Hugs and blessings,

  4. Hi Sandy,
Your photographs are fabulous. That ice has so many textures and patterns, almost like a rooftop. The blues add to its cold feel! We photographers don't mind braving the elements though, when we can capture this kind of beauty!

  22. Thanks for your lovely comment on Llyod's blog.
Today it's storming here in Southern California but loving the freezing weather. A predictin that there will be snow soon. Don't have pond around the house like yours but just having a few drops of snow is going to be wonderful. We needed rain so badly. It's starting to look like White Christmas.
