Weekend Snapshot: In Bloom at Topsmead

I was in Litchfield, Connecticut, on Saturday morning, so I stopped by Topsmead to see what was in bloom. First I came across these wildflowers in the tall grass,

and then I came across some beautiful poppies in one of the formal gardens. They were a little tired but beautiful nonetheless.

  3. Very beautiful! I always love it that you keep such a watchful eye on nature. I think that is really special Sandy. Life seems to go so fast for so many people, that I find it refreshing when someone soaks in the gifts nature so richly gives us. Thanks for sharing that with us. Beautiful.   46. the wildflower photo reminds me (go figure) of a wedding. The small white blossoms I guess are what does that. But the bright colors, the wildness of it appeal so much to me.
