This weekend, we've spent time preparing for Easter. Among our decorations are these washi Easter eggs that my daughter and I made a few years ago by gluing handmade paper to blown eggs. They have lasted longer than we thought they would!

  36. Very pretty! I love washi but I've never done the eggs. I did make traditional Ukrainian Easter eggs a couple of times though. This looks much easier and more fun.

  37. Gee, MotherDear just went out and bought us the giant bag of multi-colored pastel platic eggs. I don't recall ever dying eggs so I'm thinking she wasn't in to Washi either. ;-)

  39. Such inventive use of that beautiful handmade paper! The paper seems to act like a protective wrapping. I wish you many more years of enjoying your handiwork.

Thank you for your kind comment on my "Stormy Weather" post. I would feel honored if you'd put me on your blog roll.

  45. These eggs are beautiful Sandy and make a great alternative to the chocolate variety. Your daughter is very creative and obviously takes after you. These would be very popular at craft fairs. I'm sure people would love them!

By the way I've posted about Britishness day. Look forward to your comments.
