Weekend Snapshot: Riverside Cemetery

On the National Register of Historic Places, Riverside Cemetery in Waterbury, Connecticut, contains a who's who of the Brass City's hey day. Walk through this amazing and eerie place and you will fast learn that the Victorians had a fascination with death on a par with their dread of it. (In a grave mood? Go here.)

  4. it doesn't scare me at all-...for as long as i am in there at broad daylight with plenty of sunshine and light around me. LOL... but when darkness start to creep around-even when i am inside my own room- i will surely freak out!....i am scared of the dark, LOL.

This particular shot is eerie without being able to see the statue's face (of course, it would still be a bit creepy if you could). THis is a nice welcome to Riverside, isn't it?

I love going to cemeteries! My husband sometimes tries to avoid going past them when we're driving because he knows I'll want to stop! There are some amazing figures and statues in cemeteries. I love it!!
